For customers

Do I need the app to rent a power bank?+

Yes. You need the Loop app to rent a power bank. Download it free from the App Store or Google Play, then scan the QR code on the station to start your rental.

How do I rent a Loop power bank?+

Download the Loop app, find a nearby Loop station, open the app, and scan the QR code on the station. The station will release a charged power bank.

How much does it cost?+

Rentals start at £2 for the first hour, then £1 per additional hour, capped at £5 per day. £15 is held at the start and returned automatically — minus what you owe — when you dock the power bank. Maximum rental period is 72 hours.

Why is £15 held when I rent?+

The £15 held amount covers the power bank while you have it. When you return it, Loop keeps only the rental fee and the rest comes back to your card automatically — no action needed from you. For example, a 1-hour rental costs £2, so £13 comes back.

When does my money come back?+

Automatically, the moment you dock the power bank at any Loop station. The rental fee is deducted and the remainder goes back to your card — no action needed from you.

Can I return it to a different venue?+

Yes. Return the power bank to any Loop station in the network — it does not have to be the same venue where you rented it.

What happens if I do not return it within 72 hours?+

If the power bank is not returned within 72 hours, the £15 held amount is retained and the power bank is considered purchased — no refund is issued, even if it is returned after this point. If you need help returning before the window closes, contact support@looppower.co.uk and we will assist.

Where is Loop available?+

Loop is live across South Wales — currently in Swansea, Cardiff, and Carmarthen. Stations are placed in pubs, bars, cafés, restaurants, clubs, and entertainment venues. Download the app and the map shows all active stations near you.

What if no stations are live near me yet?+

We are actively adding stations across South Wales. Download the app now — station locations and live availability appear as venues come online. You can also check the Stations page for the latest coverage.

How do I return a power bank?+

Slide the power bank into an open dock at any Loop station until you hear the click. Your rental stops immediately and your deposit is returned.

What if the station is full?+

Find another nearby Loop station with open return slots. If you are stuck, email support@looppower.co.uk and we will help.

What if my power bank is faulty?+

Return it to the nearest station and report the issue by email at support@looppower.co.uk. You will not be charged for a faulty unit.

Can I get a receipt?+

Yes. A receipt is sent by email after every rental.

Do Loop power banks work with USB-C and Lightning?+

Yes. Each power bank includes built-in USB-C and Lightning cables, plus a USB-A port.

How do I contact support?+

For venues

Does it cost anything to host a Loop station?+

How much do venues earn?+

Venues earn 20% revenue share on every rental made from their station. Revenue share is calculated automatically.

Do staff handle payments?+

Who installs and maintains the station?+

How much space does it need?+

The station has a small indoor footprint. You will need a mains power socket nearby. We confirm placement details before installation.

Can we cancel?+
